Memorial services for Dorris Hugh “Buddy” Price of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Price, 77, died March 11, 2013 at his home. He was born in Bogue Chitto on Aug. 27, 1935, to Cecil Doris Price and Juanita Boyd Price.

He was a graduate of Bogue Chitto High School and was a locomotive engineer for 32 years. Mr. Price was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Bogue Chitto.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother-in-law, J.A. McGaugh.

Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Lila Ann Smith Price; son, Brian Price and wife, Renee; daughter, Suzette Price Lofton and husband, Bobby; sister, Louise Price McGaugh and Patsy Price Mulholland and husband, Bucky; five grandchildren, Brandy Weime and husband, Brandon, Monica Price, Michael Daigle and wife, Melaine, Miranda Hsu and husband, Erik, and Chad Lofton and wife, Lorrie; and eight great-grandchildren, Cole, Madison and Alayna Daigle, Price Hsu, Mason Ridgel, and Jacob, Deanna and Maggie Lofton.
