Memorial services for Virgil Magee of Bogue Chitto are from 1 p.m. until on Saturday, March 16, at his home, 1546 Big Creek Drive, Bogue Chitto. Friends and family are invited to attend. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Magee, 59, died March 11, 2013, at his home. He was born in Lincoln County on April 4, 1953, to Jesse Magee and Nellie Case Magee.

He was a retired logger.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Joe Magee, Cecil Magee and Jesse Magee Jr.; four sisters, Ethel Magee Gardner, Edith Magee Brown, Jannette Magee Hughes and Nelda Fay Magee; one stepson, Jamie Bardwell; two nephews, Rusty Pippins and Kenneth Magee; and one niece, Jene Wempren.

Survivors are his wife, Marsha Bardwell; one brother, Mickel Magee of Garner, N.C.; two sisters, Geneva Magee Coghlan of Brookhaven and Catherine Magee Smith of Jayess; grandson, Quintin Bardwell; a host of nieces and nephews, and a special nephew by birth but brother by choice, Alvis Ray Brown of Houston.

Mr. Magee is also survived by his stepchildren, Kenneth Bardwell and wife, Rotonya, of Pascagoula, and Ruby Wallace and husband, Kurt, of Bogue Chitto; and nine other grandchildren, Matthew Wallace, Peyton Wallace, Kelsey Wallace, Zack Bardwell, Timothy Bardwell, Kenneth Bardwell Jr., Jesse James Bardwell, Brenatasia Bardwell and Shane Bardwell.
