Brookhaven Academy’s Cougars snapped a 6-game losing streak when it counted the most. Playing their first District 5=AA game of the season Tuesday night, the Cougars smashed the Adams Country Christian School Rebels 7-1, behind the 3-hit pitching of Tanner Parvin.

The Cougars raised their record to 5-8 overall and 1-0 in the district race. Parvin fanned 7 batter and walked none.

“It feels good to be back in the win column and to win the most important game of the season so far,” said BA coach Casey Edwards. “Tanner Parvin was lights-out and our hitters did a great job of being patient at the plate. This team has the make-up to get hot at the right time.”
