Lottie Johnston Parker

Lottie Johnston Parker entered into her eternal rest on Sunday, March 17, 2013. She resided in Zachary, La. and was born in Bogue Chitto on Dec. 9, 1929.
She is survived by two sons and their wives, Frank Parker and wife, Kathy, of Zachary, and Randall R. Parker and wife, Kirsten, of Bradenton, Fla.; four grandchildren, Angie Parker Rhyne of Gaffney, S.C., Caden R. Parker of Bradenton, Fla., Marc Powers of Watson, La. and Noah Mutrie of Georgia; two great-granddaughters, Brackston A. Rhyne and Rhodes R. Rhyne of Gaffney, S.C.; one sister, Louise Johnston Smiley of Baton Rouge, La.; and two brothers, Laron Johnston of Satsuma, La., and Homer Carol Johnston of Baton Rouge.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Oren R. “Billy” Parker; son, Byron Q. Parker; one sister, Mary Alice Johnston Smith; one brother, Hulon Johnston; father, Quilla R. Johnston; and mother, Carrie Brown Johnston.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Zachary, and former member of Istrouma Baptist Church of Baton Rouge and Montgomery Baptist Church of Summit. She was a true Proverbs 31 wife, wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Zachary, La., on Tuesday, March 19, from 5 until 9 p.m. Graveside services are Wednesday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery, 495 Montgomery Road. SW, Summit, MS. Services will be conducted by Dr. Reggie Bridges and the Rev. Ricky Myers.
Pallbearers are Roy K. Stewart, Freddie Parker, Brent Hinton and Mickey Myers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Louisiana Baptist
Children’s Home or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
