LIBERTY – The Wesson Cobras cruised to a 16-0 Friday night win over the Amite County Trojans in Region 6-2A baseball. The game lasted 3 innings as Alex Smith pitched with win, striking out 6 batters and walking 1 and allowing no hits.

Wesson accounted for 12 hits, as second baseman Jace Alexander went 3-for-4. Brandon Nettles went 3-for-3. Smith was 2-for-2, with a double. Bailey Warren and Cullen Greer doubled. Austin Crow and Caleb Skinner singled.

Wilkinson was the losing pitcher. The Cobras scored 4 first-inning runs. They added 3 in the second and 9 in the third.
