West Lincoln drills Salem

Senior Jared Case provided a strong pitching performance for West Lincoln striking out 10 batters and allowed three walks as the Bears drilled the Salem Wildcats 10-0 in a non-divisional contest Thursday night at West Lincoln.
“Good to get the win,” said West Lincoln coach Steve Barrington. “Jared Case pitched a great game and our defense was solid behind him. Overall, I was please with our efforts to put together a string of hits to score some runs.”
The Bears (2-11, 0-3) return to action Tuesday. They visit Vicksburg to battle the St. Aloysius Flashes. Junior varsity action begins at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 7.
W. Lincoln 10, Salem 0
The Bears came out and quickly took care of business as they put on a hitting clinic and drilled Salem in five innings of action.
Tanner Boutwell, Tyler Moak and Bryce Temple were the offensive leaders for West Lincoln with a pair of singles. Hitting safely were Jeremy Burns, Alex Neal, Brady Wilson and Case.
Brandon Bergeron suffered the loss for the Wildcats with one strikeout and four walks.
Maurice Beard directed Salem’s offense with two singles. Blane Bossier contributed a single.
In JV action, West Lincoln hammers Salem 19-0.
