Funeral services for Joan Bland of Hazlehurst are 2 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at New Providence Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 3 until 8 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Bland, 57, died April 5, 2013 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.

She was a native of McComb and attended school in McComb and Brookhaven. She and her husband worked at the Mississippi Baptist Children’s Village for nine years.

Survivors are her husband, Rubin Bland; sons, Jason Bland of Brandon, Joey Bland of Caseyville and Paul Bland of Brookhaven; daughter, Michelle Wood; brothers, Tommy Hutson of Clemmons, N.C., Bobby Hutson of Brandon and Kenny Hutson of Raymond; and 10 grandchildren.
