Funeral services for Tommie Ross Jackson of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Avenue, with burial in Heucks Retreat Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Jackson, 72, died May 2, 2013 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

He enjoyed supporting his granddaughters in all their activities, along with hunting and fishing with Mr. Pete Powers. He was the owner/operator of Ross Jackson Plumbing for 50 plus years and “Boss” to a great group of men and women.

Preceding him in death were his parents, T.J. and Irene Jackson; son, Tracey Glen Jackson; sister, Bennie G. Beeson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Troy and Fannie Lewis; and sister-in-law, Linda Lewis Lowery.

Survivors include his wife, Laverne Jackson; sons, Jimmy Jackson, and wife, Lisa, and Robbie Jackson, and wife Dena; brother-in-law, Billy Lewis, and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Rusti Jackson Wallace, and husband, Jason, and Mackenzie Jackson; and great-grandchildren, Jaci Taylor Wallace.

The pride and joy of his life were his granddaughters and great-granddaughters, his lifelong hunting and fishing friend, Pete Powers, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heucks Retreat Baptist Church or Hospice Ministries.
