LONG BEACH – Three boys and five girls will represent Brookhaven in Saturday’s Class 5A State Track Meet at Pearl. The Panthers are led by strongman Chris Calcote who won the South State title in the shot put and discus.

Calcote, a junior, heaved the shot put 48-feet, 3 inches. He threw the discus 142-11.

Tyler Thomas was fourth in the shot with a toss of 45-4. Marquise Harris was fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.55.

Diamond Herring led the Lady Panthers with a third place in the triple jump, leaping 32-03.5.

Jamese Robinson was fourth in the 3200-meter run with a time of 13:35.11. Fredericka Fairman was fourth in the high jump, clearing 4-10.

Ole Brook’s 4×400 meter relay team, composed of Herring, Fairman, Arnancy Arnold and Aaliyah Butler, placed fourth at 4:25.47.
