Funeral services for Jeffery L. Scott of Meadville are 2 p.m. on Monday, May 13, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Monday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Scott, 60, died May 11, 2013 at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. He was born in McComb on Oct. 7, 1952 to Hilton and Helen M. Scott Cutrer.

He was adopted by his maternal grandparents, Roy T. Sr. and Gladys Prather Scott. He was a retired railcar worker from American Railcar in Bude. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and adopted parents.

Survivors are his wife Marie Scott; daughter, Alishia Harris, and husband, Eddie, of Wesson; brothers, Roy T. Scott, of Birmingham, Ala., and Greg Scott and wife, Clemois, of McCall Creek; sister, Ramona Scott, of Nevada; grandchildren, Ashleigh Harris, Brodie Harris and Parker Harris; special brother, Raymond Scott; and a host of nieces and nephews.
