Funeral services for Joe Hal Hargett of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hargett, 81, died May 22, 2013, at his home. He was born on Dec. 27, 1931.

He was a counselor at the State of Mississippi Vocational Rehabilitation Service. He was a member of Brookway Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Billie Jean Hargett; brother, Winfred Hargett; sisters, Nadine Roberts and Juanita Webb; and his parents, James Edrett and Jewel Moore Hargett.

Survivors are his sons, Gregory Hal Hargett, of Brandon, and Joe Darron Hargett, and wife Pam, of Madison; brother, Stanley Hargett, of Columbus; sister, Nell Staggs, of Memphis, Tenn.; granddaughter, Haley Hargett; and step-grandchildren, Colby and Kaitlin Thrash.
