Funeral services for Nathan Warren Grim of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. on Friday, May 24, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Grim, 92, died May 21, 2013 at Haven Hall Health Care Center. He was born on March 4, 1921 to Frank Grim and Clema Grim.

He was a meat market manager. He was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church of Brookhaven and a member of the Evening Lions Club and World’s Greatest Generation Coffee Club. Mr. Grim was also a semi-pro baseball player. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Rebecca Sandidge Grim; parents; brothers, James Grim, Willard Grim and Howard Grim; and sisters, Eileen Grim Twenty and Doris Grim Leonard.

Survivors are his sons, Michael Warren Grim and wife, Camille, and Randall Lynn Grim and wife, Marsha; sisters, Audrey Grim Starliper and Connie Grim Powell; four grandchildren, April Michelle Grim, of Brookhaven, Michael Andrew Grim and wife, Holly, of Hattiesburg, Myles Randall Grim and wife, Lauren, of Southaven, and Lydia Grim Rather and husband, Michael, of Mobile, Ala.; four great-grandchildren, Drew Grim and Paxton Grim, of Hattiesburg, and Reed Rather and Lane Rather, of Mobile, Ala.; nieces, Sybil Cordeman, Sandy Daymude, Sherry Clark, Debbie Snoots, Vicky Jones, Suzanne Powell, Noni Grim and Joyce Grim; nephews, John Starliper, Roger Starliper, Ronnie Coleman, Barry Grim, Tom Powell and Bruce Powell.

Pallbearers will be Mark Mathis, Brad Mathis, Samuel Mathis, Benjamin Mathis, Jon Mark Mathis, Gabriel Mathis and Stacy Banes.

The family extends gratitude to the employees of Haven Hall Health Care Center for their excellent care.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund.
