Memorial services for Evvie Ballard Boyd of Ruth are 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello.

Visitation is Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Boyd, 65, died June 1, 2013 at her home.

She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County. She was a homemaker and a Granny to everyone. Mrs. Boyd loved road trips, gardening and crocheting.

Preceding her in death were her father, Perry Ballard; mother, Maggie Lambert Ballard King; brother, L.P. Ballard; and granddaughter, Jessica Hall.

Survivors are her husband, Richard Boyd; children, Becky and Ray Walker of Osyka, Randy and Sadie Boyd of Ruth, Ricky and Amy Boyd of Brookhaven and Missy and Benji Hammond of Tylertown; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, M.L. Kyzar Summers of Brookhaven; nephew, Glen Kyzar of Ruth; and niece, Belynda Meyn of Bogue Chitto.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice, in Evvie’s name.
