Herman “Troy” Carter Jr. of Brookhaven died May 30, 2013 at his home. Mr. Carter, 48, was born in New Orleans on July 13, 1963 to Herman Troy Carter Sr. and Betty Jo Elkins Carter.

He was the owner of Carter Enterprise and Delivery Service. He was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his sister, Betsy Carter; aunts, Lois Lightsey of Brookhaven and Shirley McClintock of Bartlesville, Okla.; nephews, Denny Brister and Dickey Brister, both of Brookhaven; and numerous other family members and customers.
