Franklin towns elect mayors in Tuesday’s voting

In Franklin County results are in for the municipal elections that took place in Bude, Meadville and Roxie.

Bude citizens voted Mayor Earl Case to lead them another four years. This will be Case’s third term in the mayor’s office.

Case received 86 votes while his opponent Linda Gail Green followed a close second with 82. Other mayoral challenger Arthur Mack Littleton received 36 votes.

Meadville will have a new mayor as town prosecutor Lane B. Reed defeated incumbent Mayor W.P. “Sonny” Dickey Jr. last night.

Reed received 100 votes while Dickey garnered 73.

Roxie residents will likely see a new face in the mayor’s office as well.

Challenger Michael Wright received 59 votes compared to the incumbent Mayor Rick Wilson’s 45.

Affidavit ballots have yet to be included in Roxie’s election totals, and it is unclear how many remain to be counted.

Official results for Roxie will be reported when they are released.
