To all of us who knew and loved John, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend. John was a corporate pilot, a resident of Brookhaven and a native of Oak Grove, La. He passed away June 7, 2013.

Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, June 12, from 5 until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, June 13, from 9 a.m. until service time at noon. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

John is survived by his wife of 18 years, Peggy S. Fowler, sister, Brenda Fowler Brister, son, John Brian Fowler, two stepsons, Ronnie and Lee Beard, stepson-in-law, Eric Normand, two nieces, Alicia Ruiz and Marci Pratt, grandchildren, Jonathan, Jacob, Sara and Sam Fowler; Daniel, Anna and Zachary Normand, Justin and Ryan Beard; Shannon Bertucci, Sydney and Sean Beard and his loving pets, Scooter, Peanut, Gracie, Bo and Gabe.

He was preceded in death by his father, John R. Fowler, mother, Thelma L. Dosher Fowler and stepdaughter, Rhonda Caroline Normand.
