James Frank Barker

The family of James Frank Barker of Brookhaven will receive guests at their home at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, for a memorial gathering. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Barker, 79, died June 14, 2013 at his home. He was born in Louisiana on Dec. 14, 1933 to Frank Barker and Ruby Tillery Barker.
He was a retired machine operator for the Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of Brookway Church of Christ and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Ann Richardson Barker; sons, James Frank Barker Jr. of Daleville, Ala. and Richard Barker of Brookhaven; daughter, Lisa Brewer of Summertown, Tenn.; brothers, Curtis Barker of Ferriday, La. and J.L. Barker of Harrisonburg, La.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
