Funeral services for Robert Lee Thompson Jr. of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, at St. James M.B. Church, with burial in Collins Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Summit. The Rev. Dr. Larry Jointer will officiate. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Thompson, 53, died June 25, 2013 at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Summit on May 8, 1960.

He was an associate at Advanced Auto Parts in Brookhaven and a deacon at St. James M.B. Church.

He is survived by his wife, Toni Thompson of Brookhaven; parents, Robert Thompson Sr. and Sarah Thompson, both of Summit; daughters, Jessica Thompson of Brookhaven and Andrea Smith of Hattiesburg; sisters, Loretta Connerly of Summit, Salena Robinson and husband, Bernard, of McComb, Kathleen Downs and husband, Charles, of Summit, Madelyn Jackson and husband, Kenny, of Summit, and Sharon Williams and husband, Mike, of Byram.
