A three-vehicle accident shut down the northbound lanes of Interstate-55 at Brookhaven for 15 minutes Tuesday afternoon.

     The Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M worked the incident, and a spokesman reported the wreck involved two small trucks and one full-sized truck. A helicopter was called in, and the patient involved is currently stable, according to the spokesman

     The accident occurred on Interstate 55 at exit 42 at 5:25 p.m. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and the names of those involved were not immediately available.
