Funeral services for Gena Renee Nettles Sample of Prattville, Ala., are 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Tuesday from 9 until 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sample, 54, died on July 7, 2013 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Hart Nettles.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Sample; daughter, Chelsea Sample; two sons, Charles Sample and Michael Sample; three grandchildren, Dillon Sample, Nathan Sample and Caleb Sample; father, James R. Nettles and wife, Jerry; brother, Bruce Nettles, and sister, Beverly Plotner and husband, Ross.
