Funeral services for Patrick Conner Carter of Natchez are 11 a.m. on Monday, July 22, at Laird Funeral Home in Natchez, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Alan Colodny will officiate.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Carter, 53, died July 19, 2013 at his home. He was born March 24, 1960.

He was a member of New Beginnings Community Church of Natchez and was an owner of Attic Treasures Old and New Flea Market. He worked for the Adams County Sheriff Department for eight years before retiring in 2011.

Preceding him in death were his father, Walter Carter Jr., one brother, Walter Charles “Chuck” Carter, one sister, Kathy Carter Barr, and one niece, Michelle Barr.

Survivors are his wife, Angie McDowell Carter of Natchez; three daughters, Jennifer Carter, Melissa Carter and Allison Carter, all of Natchez; mother, Leona Burns Carter of Natchez; and one niece, Leigh Ann Barr Byrne of Hattiesburg.

Pallbearers will be George Hammack, Jerry Bradshaw, Spank Felter, James Krandall McDowell, Tim McDowell and Jonathan McDowell. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Lindsey, Jacky Swarts, Spanky Felter, former coworkers of Adams County Sheriff Department and John Fox.
