Funeral services for Roy Denvil Waldon of Brookhaven were 1 p.m. on Monday, July 29, at Brookhaven Funeral Home, with burial in Union Hall Baptist Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Waldon, 94, died July 27, 2013 at King’s Daughters Medical Center.

He loved to play his harmonica on Sunday nights to his church family whom he loved dearly. He also enjoyed working with wood.

Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Katie Smith Waldon; wife, Evelle Smith Waldon; daughter, Jo Ann Pierce; son, Mitchell Waldon; granddaughter, Holly Waldon; and sisters, Inez Lea and Vivian Smith.

Survivors are his daughters, Linda Beacham and husband, John, and Patsy Smith and husband, Rickey; daughter-in-law, Sherry Ward Waldon; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
