Services for Daniel Evan Ritz will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with interment at Riverwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m., also at Riverwood.

Daniel Evan Ritz, 35, of Brookhaven, passed away Aug. 11, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Mississippi to Wilbur Lindell Ritz and Eunice Nell Bardwell Beard.

He was of the Assembly of God faith and was a Certified Dental Assistant. He enjoyed sports and was a very good athlete. His favorite pastime was fishing.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Sarah Delaughter Bardwell; grandfathers, James Everett Bardwell and Vernon Evan Ritz; uncle, Ben Bardwell; aunt, Virginia Ritz Etheridge; and cousin, Kim Ritz.

He is survived by his father, Lindell Ritz; mother and stepfather, Eunice and Terry Beard; brothers, John Hutcherson and Terry Beard Jr.; sisters, Rachel Beard and Chloe Lane Beard; grandmother, Margaret Ritz; uncles, Keith Ritz and wife, Peggy, and Murphy Bardwell; aunts, Sharon Brackett, Judy Boutwell and husband, Maxie, June Ritz and Maxine Clecker; nieces, Chelsie and Haliey Steal; and a host of cousins.
