Funeral services for Jerry Lofton of McCall Creek are 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, at Ramah Baptist Church in McCall Creek, with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Lofton, 79, died Aug. 12, 2013 at his home. He was born in Mississippi on March 31, 1934 to Marshall Lofton and Louise Montgomery Lofton.

He was a member of Ramah Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Hazel Lofton; son, Jerry Glenn Lofton; brother, Thomas E. Lofton; and sisters, Peggy Davis, Eva Belle Allen and Marie Hilton.
