Pike County investigators are handling the case, Bell said. Each individual charged in the case is being held without bond in the Pike County Jail.

Bell said he had talked to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation regarding the matter. The MBI is assisting the Pike County sheriff’s office with the investigation due to the fact that a law enforcement officer has been charged.
