Services for Winifred Pauline Carr Woodward are Saturday, Aug. 24, at 2 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church in Monticello, with visitation from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service held at the church. Interment will also be at New Zion Baptist Church. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Woodard, 84, of Monticello, passed away Aug. 20, 2013 at Canon Hospice in Gulfport. She was born in Monticello on Feb. 24, 1929 to Sam B. Carr and Audrey Davis Carr.

She was a graduate of Monticello High School and retired from Lawrence County Health Department. She also was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Monticello.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Maston E. Woodward; her parents, Sam and Audrey Carr; her son, Paul E. Woodward; and twin brother, Paul Carr.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Karen Lea of Pensacola, Fla.; and one sister, Sammie Smith. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Mike Richardson and wife, Leigh Ann, and Angie Cassity and husband, Shane, along with five great-grandchildren, Haley, Matt, Nate Bayles and Dakota and Makenzie Richardson.
