Funeral services for Virgie Sanders Henderson of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, at St. James M.B. Church, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 3 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Henderson, 78, died Aug. 22, 2013 at her home. She was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 5, 1935 to Ludie Martin Sanders.

Survivors are her son, Herman Lee Henderson and wife, Jeanette, of Brookhaven; granddaughter, Shanta Henderson of Brookhaven; great-grandson, Lee’ Herman Henderson of Brookhaven; four sisters, Elaine Robinson, Johnnie Jones and Annie Smith, all of Brookhaven, and Louella McDaniel of Indianola; and 15 nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
