Funeral services for Margie C. Smith of Brookhaven are 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Mt. Zion Church of Christ, with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith, 90, died Sept. 7, 2013 in Brookhaven. She was born in Mississippi on Aug. 16, 1923 to Green Smith and Anna Dunigan Smith.

She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were his parents; her husbands, Joe Lofton and Willard J. Smith; and her brother, Ralph Smith.

Survivors are her sons, Randall Lofton and wife, Patricia, of Brookhaven, Dannie Smith and wife, Gail, of Brookhaven, and Stan J. Smith; daughters, Susan Keys and husband, Mike, of Wesson, and Helen Ratcliff and husband, Johnny, of Natchez; brothers, Melvin Smith and wife, Elva, of Long Beach, and Donald Ray Smith and wife, Carolyn, of Brookhaven; sisters, Betty Keen and husband, James, Marie Laird and Carolyn Bowlin, all of Brookhaven; seven grandchildren, Jessica Griffin, John Ratcliff, Lisa McGehee, Seth Lofton, Logan Smith, Corey Smith and Jamie Smith; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Haven Hall, King’s Daughters Medical Center and Hospice Ministries; also, a special thanks to Dr. Bryan Calcote.
