Services for Eldrid “Gerald” Chance were held on Monday, Sept. 9, at 2 p.m. at Mission Hill Baptist Church, with interment there, also. Visitation was held Sunday evening, Sept. 8.

Mr. Chance, 77, passed away Sept. 7, 2013 at his residence in Wesson. He was born on Aug. 29, 1936 to Aubrey Eldrid Chance and Martha Estelle Ratcliff Chance, whom have preceded him in death.

He was a retired truck driver and a member of Mission Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Faye Chance; two sons, Randy Gerald Chance and Robert Gregory Chance; a daughter, Pamela Chance Stamps and husband, Ken; and two brothers, Carl Nelson Chance and wife, Margie, and Albert Elzie Chance and wife, Tama. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kenny Stamps and wife, Randi, Jamie Stamps and wife, Margaret, Emma Leigh Stamps, AJ Chance and Abby Chance; five great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Patsy McLendon.

Memorials may be made to Mission Hill Baptist Church in the memory of Gerald Chance.
