Funeral services for James Hurley Hoggatt of Wauwatosa, Wis., are 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hoggatt, 25, died at his home. He was born in Texas on March 4, 1988.

He was a graduate of Brookhaven High School and Herzing College. He was an assistant debate coach and registrar at Herzing College and Brookfield East High School. He was the past president of the State of Wisconsin Debate Society, won Staff Member of the Year at Herzing College and Coach of the Year at Brookfield East High School. Mr. Hoggatt was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Lamar Walls and Reba Walls; and paternal grandfather, Asa Hoggatt.

Survivors are his father, William Lance Hoggatt; mother, Theresia J. Walls; sister, Felicity Brister and husband, Sam, and their children, Keagan and Ainsley; half sister, Zoe; stepbrothers, Andrew, Matthew, William, Christopher and Thomas; and aunt, Shirley Kay Walls.

Memorials may be made to First Edition Debate, Brookhaven High School.
