Joel Parkman Pace Sr., 67, died Sept. 21, 2013, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Brookhaven on Jan. 3, 1946, to the late L. B. Pace and Irene Parkman Pace.

Mr. Pace was of the Baptist faith and was the retired manager at Smith Brothers Body Shop in Brookhaven.

Mr. Pace was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Cathy Smith Pace; his brother, John Pace, and his sister, Judith Pace.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive location. Funeral service will be Wednesday, Sept. 25, at ll a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.

Mr. Pace is survived by his wife, Betty, of Brookhaven; two sons, Joey Pace of Denver, Colo., and Tracy Pace and wife, Arlia, of Brookhaven; two grandchildren, Bella and Leiyla; two sisters, Jennifer Carlisle and husband, Arthur, and Jeanine Gaston and husband, Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
