Lady Bears blast Amite County

LIBERTY – The West Lincoln Lady Bears destroyed the Amite County Lady Trojans 20-1 Monday night in slowpitch softball action.
The Lady Bears (10-5-1, 1-0) resume action today. They will invade Bogue Chitto to tangle with their rivals, the Lady Cats. The junior varsity game will start at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity at 6 p.m.
West Lincoln 20, Amite Co. 1
The Lady Bears came out strong and blasted the Lady Trojans by out hitting Amite County 18-1 .
Heather Moak was the winning pitcher for West Lincoln with three strikeouts and no walks.
Heather Moak provided the offensive charge to lead the Lady Bears’ explosion with a home run and two singles. Hanna Moak fueled the flames with a triple and a single. Malori Hall and Micah Redd contributed a pair of singles. Bentley Sills and Cadie Maxwell had a triple apiece. Hitting safely were Karley Smith, Millane Lewis, Alli Mullins, Destiny Allen, Addie Spring and Layton Sills.
In JV action, West Lincoln surpassed Amite County 9-7.
MaKennah Redd paced the Lady Bears offense with a double and a single. Demesha Deer ripped a double. Peyton White, Sara Jane Doty, Lewis and Maxwell hit safely.
