FARMERVILLE, LA. – The West Lincoln Bears captured their first win on the season with a 14-0 shutout victory over the Union Christian Academy Lions Friday night in high school football action.

“Glad to get the win,” said West Lincoln coach Willie Brumfield. “The guys played a complete game both offensively and defensively. I was really pleased with their effort.

“We had several young players to step up tonight and make plays,” continued Brumfield. “We had two touchdowns called back for mental mistakes, but the guys managed to overcome the adversity and played through it. Overall, it was a total team effort. Now we must get ready for district action next week.”
