Funeral services for Charles Edward Smith of Monticello are 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, at Friendship M.B. Church with burial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 1 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith died Sept. 30, 2013, at Southwest Regional Medical Center. He was born in Lawrence County on July 8, 1945.
