Funeral services for Sarah Elizabeth “Betty” Montgomery of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Montgomery, 90, passed away Oct. 3, 2013, at home. She was born in Brookhaven on June 21, 1923 to John Harveston and Myrtis Furr Harveston.

She was a business owner and a member of Union Hall Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were: her husband, James Clyde Montgomery Sr.; her parents; son, David Bruce Montgomery, and eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her daughter, Linda Gail Onesi; son, James Clyde “Jimmy” Montgomery Jr. and wife Shirley; four grandchildren, Chance Clyde Onesi, Terry Spence, James Clyde Montgomery III and Beth Montgomery Covington. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and a special niece and caregiver Judy Nevels Spence.
