COLUMBIA – The East Marion Eagles used their athletic talents to overpower the Loyd Star Hornets to secure a 41-0 shutout Friday night in Region 7-2A football action.

The Hornets came in with the heavy burden of losing their head coach, Randall Huffman, who resigned from his post last Tuesday, but Loyd Star fought hard under the leadership of the assistant coaches Jared Britt, Seth Britt and Dustin Sisco.

However, Loyd Star could only mustard up 122 yards total offense against the Eagles’ strong defense.
