Funeral services for Kate Evon Smith of Brookhaven are 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Miss Smith, 28, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born on Nov. 14, 1984.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Wilmer and Yvonne Britt, L.T. and Phyllis Smith, and her uncle Wilmer Carroll Britt.

Survivors are her father, Jeffie Scott Smith and stepmother Marcia Smith, her mother, Kathy Britt Evans and stepfather, Stanley David Evans; her sister, Kimberly Ann James, and step-sister, Callie Carter; step-brother Colby Calcote; nephews, Collin and Noah James; cousins Christ Britt, Tracy Shufelt, Mitzi Britt, and Leianne Haley; Aunt, Jenny Wilson and Uncle Paul Wilson. She is also survived by her fiance’ Chris Keyes.

Her sweet heart touched so many and she was loved by many.
