Local man named to national board

Harold Gary of Brookhaven was recently elected to the National Board of Directors of the National Rural Rehabilitation Corp. at the annual conference in Des Moines, Iowa.
He also serves as vice president of the Mississippi Rural Rehabilitation Corp. This corporation is actively involved in lending money to farmers and ranchers who want to acquire additional farm land and increase the rural American standard of living.
Gary is a graduate of Mississippi State University and is a retiree from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He is active in the community and the Lincoln County Republican Party.
He also promotes agriculture throughout the state. He runs a tree farm in north Mississippi and promotes responsible conservation practices.
He serves on the board of directors of the Pearl River Basin Development District, the Southwest Mississippi Resource Conservation and Development Council, the Advisory Board of First Bank and the Forestry Association.
