Funeral services for James Leston Case, a resident of Zachary, La., were 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Zachary First Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Reggie Bridges. Graveside service was at 2 p.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery near Wesson, conducted by the Rev. Ralph Calcote.

Charlet Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was Monday, Oct. 7, from 5 until 8 p.m. and then on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time for the service.

Mr. Case, 73, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013. He was born in Brookhaven.

He was a former employee of Cytec Industries, where he worked for 31 years. He loved the Lord and his family. He was an avid golfer and a deacon at the Zachary First Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Bernice and Viola Case; brothers, Nelson Case and Carl Case; and sisters, Delma Brooks and Winnie Ruth Lanoux.

Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Mabel Besson Case; one daughter, Sharon Case Rector and her husband Robert of Carrollton, Texas; two sons; James Gary Case and his wife Paige of Leesburg, Va., and John David Case and his wife Genneysa of Madison; two sisters, Doris Robinson and her husband L.T. of Central, La., and Eddis Harville and her husband Mearl of Central, La.; sister-in-law Helen Case of Austin, Texas; brother-in-law Gene Brooks of Clinton; seven grandchildren: James Payton Case, Stephen Aaron Case, Jesse Addison Case, Madeleine Elizabeth Case, Samantha Eliza Case, Olivia Anne Case, and Leigh Janelle Rector. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Payton Case, Stephen Case, Jesse Case, Jody Boyd, Will Rushing, Warren Brady, Eric Setz, and Colby Rushing
