Funeral services for George “Steve” Steven Britt of Jackson were held Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation was held Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 849 Natchez Drive.

Mr. Britt, 63, died Oct. 30, 2013, in Crystal Springs. He was born in Lincoln County to J.B. Britt and Heneritta Smith Britt. He was a retired school teacher. He loved to hunt and fish and was an avid rabbit and turkey hunter. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Phyllis Fox Britt.

He is survived by his daughter, Cameron Grace Bullock, and husband, Derek, of Gulfport; his sister, Pam Jackson, of Crystal Springs; brothers, Bruce Britt and wife René of Brookhaven, Daniel Britt and wife Debbie of Brookhaven; and a granddaughter, Kate Bullock.
