Funeral services for Nelma Pell of Strong Hope were 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, at Strong Hope Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Stringer Funeral Home, Hazlehurst was in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. Monday at the church.

Mrs. Pell, 89, passed away Nov. 2, 2013, at her home.

She was a native of Copiah County. She lived in Hinds County for 41 years before returning to Copiah County after retiring from General Electric. While living in Jackson, she was a member of Creston Hills Baptist Church. She was a member of Strong Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Pell of Port Gibson; sister, Ann Simonson of Wesson; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
