DAILY LEADER / RACHEL EIDE / Donna Kenney looks over photographs by local resident Jessica Anding Wednesday afternoon at the Lincoln County Public Library. The exhibit will be up through the month of November.

Flowers out of season grace the meeting room walls at the Lincoln County Public Library this November as Brookhaven resident Jessica Anding shares her love of photography with the public through her mostly floral photo exhibit.

Originally from Brookhaven, the Anding family moved back to the Homeseeker’s Paradise from New Orleans in 1986.

Jessica, daughter of Janice and Nelson Anding, enjoyed small town living with her brother Jason. Graduating from BHS in 1988, she attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and went on to attend the University of Southern Mississippi before illness caused her to come home.

Anding received instruction in art from Tom Ross and Janet Smith at Co-Lin, and drawing and painting became her hobbies.

She went on to receive a degree in computer drafting and design from Co-Lin, and she worked at Logical Link for two years. Anding is currently working part-time at Edward Jones Investment Co.

Advances in computer technology and digital cameras have helped fuel Anding’s interest in photography as a hobby.

Her nephew, Grayson Anding, and nieces, Marin and Amelia Anding, became favorite subjects for her photos, in addition to florals and outdoor scenes.

Another hobby Anding enjoys is crocheting. “A blanket I am currently working on will be auctioned at First Baptist Church in Brookhaven to benefit the orphanage, Casa de Fe,” she said.

The public is invited to view Andings’ photography on display at the library through the month of November.
