Wolfpack soccer players selected for All-Star games

WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College will be well represented in the inaugural MACJC Men’s and Women’s All-Star Soccer Games on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland.
Representing the Lady Wolves on the South Division All-Stars are Daniela Orozco and Anna Donnelly. Representing the Wolfpack on the South Division All-Stars Dylan Sandidge and Wesley Varner. Co-Lin
head coach David Strother will serve as an assistant for the South in the women’s game.
Only second-year players are eligible to participate in the game. The women’s match is set for 2 p.m. with the men to follow at 4:30 p.m.
Orozco, a native of Phoenix, split time between goalkeeper and forward for the Lady Wolves this season.
Donnelly, a native of Goodyear, Ariz., started in the midfield for Co-Lin.
Sandidge, a native of Natchez, played defender during his two years in Wesson. Sandidge is a graduate of Natchez Cathedral.
Varner, a native of Magee, was the primary goalkeeper during his two seasons in Wesson. Varner is a graduate of Magee High School.
Strother, a Co-Lin alumnus (01′), is in his second season leading the men’s and women’s soccer programs.
The inaugural MACJC All-Star Soccer games are sponsored by Holmes Community College, JUCO Weekly, the Mississippi Army National Guard, and Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedics.
