Funeral services for
James Louis Kimble of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with interment at Riverwood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with a Rosary service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Mr. Kimble, 78, passed away Nov. 14, 2013, at his residence. He was born on June 16, 1935, to J.W. Kimble and Louise Newell Kimble
He retired from Entergy and was a materials engineer at Grand Gulf. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
He was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. His favorite pastime was camping with his family and friends and sitting around the bonfire. He deeply loved God, his family, friends and community. Jim was a very giving person, and he was happiest when he was helping others.
He was greatly appreciated and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Stacey Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie Parden Kimble; his daughters, Elaine Kimble Boyd and husband Danny, Kathy Kimble Hitchner and husband David of Baton Rouge, La., Karen L. Kimble and Sandra Kimble Smith. He is also survived by his brothers; Wayne Kimble and wife, Alma and Herbert Kimble and wife Bobbie of Wesson; a sister, Yvonne Kimble Britt and husband Jimmy of Wesson; 10 grandchildren; Danielle Boyd, Chelsea Boyd, Michelle Boyd, Matthew Boyd, Nathan Boyd, Shannon Hitchner, Ian Hitchner, Hannah Smith, Hollie Smith and Heidi Smith; along with a host of nieces, nephews and many other loving family members and friends.
