The Brookhaven Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a “vehicle of interest” that has been spotted at or near crime scenes in recent days.

The vehicle is a white GMC Yukon with black trim that has a number of identifying markers on it that set it apart from similarly colored GMC Yukons on the road, said an official with the police department.

It appears as though the back right tire on the vehicle is either a spare, or a separate tire from the other three. The vehicle has a sunroof on it. Along the front grill of the vehicle is a stone and/or bug deflector that appears to have slight damage to it.

There is also a sticker, or logo of some sort, located just above the rear license plate between the two back taillights. Police speculate that the image could be a dog or some other animal, but they cannot be certain due to the grainy image quality.

While police officials have sent be-on-the-lookouts, or BOLAS, to all four cornering counties, they are hopeful that the public has more information about the vehicle.

Any information about the vehicle, or persons associated with it, should be directed to the Brookhaven Police Department at 601) 833-2424.
