BA Cougars clobber PCS

The Brookhaven Academy Cougars continue to roll as they remained unbeaten after clobbering the Presbyterian Christian Bobcats 60-46 Thursday night at John R. Gray Gymnasium.
Brookhaven Academy will be in action during the Thanksgiving Break as they participate in Hillcrest’s Thanksgiving two day classic. The Cougars and Lady Cougars battle Hillcrest Monday and play Central Private, Tuesday.

The Cougars came out strong and jumped all over the Bobcats in the first quarter to claim a 20-6 lead and continued their offensive onslaught in the second quarter to secure a 30-8 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, BA continued to outscore Presbyterian Christian to command a 44-17 lead.
In the fourth quarter, the Bobcats charged back to overwhelm BA 29-16, but could not overcome the Cougars’ large margin.
Peyton Hood was the offensive leader for the Cougars (3-0) with a game-high double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds. Ethan Harris chipped in with 10 points.
Kot paced the Bobcats with a team-high 11 points; Patterson was the second leading scorer with six points.
