Miss Faye worked alongside her husband and was instrumental in the operation of their dairy farm while taking care of their home, family and many other young people in the community. She was a member of the Sweet Spirits singing group and a member of the choir at East Fork Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member and active in church activities. She also loved to paint; however, there was nothing she loved more than serving others. She was a loving Mother and a doting grandmother. She especially cherished the time she got to spend with her seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Edgar Cockerham; a son, James “Jimmy” Robert Cockerham and three brothers, Kenneth, Lloyd and Donald Wilson.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bobbye Faye and Paul W. Baham, Jr. of Brookhaven; her son and his fiance’, Clyde Edgar “Eddie” Cockerham and Dr. Antionette Hubble of Summit; one brother and his wife, C.M. and Gayle Wilson of Terry’s Creek; two sisters, Jean Williams of McComb and Wilma Ammons of Jackson; four grandchildren and spouses, Amanda Heard and Derrick, Trae and Alicia Baham, Tiffany Deaton and Darris and Candice Merritt; seven great-grandchildren, Will Baham, Annalyn Baham, Megan Heard, Emma Heard, Hannah Heard, Dana Deaton and Duely Deaton.
