Funeral services for Charles W. Snyder of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, at Faith Presbyterian Church with burial in Easthaven Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.
Mr. Snyder, 91, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Haven Hall Health Care Center.
Mr. Snyder served in the Air Force during WWII. He flew B-29s in combat missions over Japan. His citations consisted of an Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with two Battle Stars, an American Campaign Medal, a European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and a World War II Victory Medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Luther Synder and Lydia Eidlinger Snyder.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Furr Snyder, of Brookhaven; his daughter, Dawn Snyder Hayes, of Peoria, Ariz.; and his brother, Robert Snyder and wife, Cathy, of Lady Lakes, Fla..
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faith Presbyterian Church in honor of Mr. Snyder.
