Funeral services for Cleo Louise Crane Allgood of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, at Friendship Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 849 Natchez Drive, is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Saturday, Dec. 28, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Crane, 89, of Brookhaven, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at her residence.
She was a faithful wife, devoted mother and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She was recently honored for her 55 years of service to her church for teaching and rocking babies in the Sunday school nursery at Friendship Baptist Church. She enjoyed her home and taking care of her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Crane; mother, Ethel Hemphill Crane; husband, Harold Daniel Allgood Sr.; son, Harold Daniel “Sonny” Allgood Jr.; brothers, Clifton Crane and Ford Crane; and two sisters, Pauline Allgood and Mavis Crane.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy Smith, and husband, Wayne, and Theresa Ballard, and husband, Henry, both of Brookhaven; her son, Henry Allgood, and wife, Deanne, of Brookhaven; daughter-in-law, Thelma Allgood of Natchez; grandchildren, Jason Calhoun, Chris and Kristi Calhoun, Christy and Tony Rando, Jeff and Melanie Smith, Elizabeth and Curt Freeman, Danielle and Jason Russell, Daniel and Angela Ballard, Melissa and Howard Davis, Ashley and Matthew Foster, and Austin Allgood. She is also survived by a brother, Glen Crane and wife, Melba; sister, Betty Jean Smith of Raceland, La., 26 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the nursery fund at Friendship Baptist Church.
