Funeral services for Dorothy Nell Case Calcote are 11 a.m. on

Monday, Dec. 30, at New Hope United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Visitation was Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service and will resume at 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday at New Hope United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Calcote, 83, passed away Dec. 27, 2013, at her residence. She was born on May 11, 1930, to Rivers Harrison Case and Ruthie Ardella Allen Case.

She was retired from King’s Daughters Medical Center as an LPN. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. Housework was not her favorite thing to do; she’d rather be outside gardening, working in her flower beds, planting or trimming trees or anything outdoors. When she did have to be inside, she loved playing her piano, piecing quilts and quilting. She was a member of New Hope Quilters. She also loved to read, especially the Bible.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Case, and sisters, Agnes Case Smith and Genevieve Case Calcote.

She is survived by her husband, David H. Calcote; sons, John Calcote and wife, Nancy, Eddie Calcote and wife, Barbara; daughters, Bernadette Bowman and husband, Bobby, Jenny Lofton and husband, Roy; sisters, Betty Criswell and husband, Wayne, Faye Stroud and husband, Doyle; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
